2024 Community Supported Agriculture
2024 Membership
What is C.S.A.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a system in which consumers purchase food directly from the farmers who produce it - bringing together community members, farmers, and agricultural land to create a more intimate and healthy relationship between people and the source of their food. You’ll know where your food came from and eat in harmony with the seasons, enjoying a balanced and varied diet of healthy natural foods.
Produce Share Plans
Creme de la Crop currently offers two distribution options. You can select to pick up every week throughout the program or decide to participate twice monthly. A share typically satisfies the needs of one vegetarian or two people with a mixed diet. Your weekly assortment will contain farm-fresh produce, including heirlooms and unique varieties known for their flavor and beauty. Throughout the season, we offer different selections from a few items we harvested so that you can pick your favorites. The newsletter is emailed to you describing the week’s harvest, current happenings at the farm, and kitchen-tested recipes, eliminating the need for menu planning.
Healthy Soil Means Healthy Food
Our produce is grown without chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides, or herbicides. We employ natural farming techniques that improve soil health and plant structure. Our plants produce more, are naturally resistant to common pests, and are more tolerant to adverse weather conditions. The result is healthier food that tastes better and is free of toxins. This farming method is sustainable, and it protects our water supply from contamination.
From the Fields:
Beets, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Green Beans, Greens (Salad & Cooking), Herbs, Leeks, Melons, Parsnips, Peppers (Sweet & Chili), Potatoes, Rutabaga, Squash (Summer & Winter), Tomatillos, Tomatoes, Turnips...
Pick-up Options (Wednesday or Friday)
Pick-up is from 2:00-6:00 PM. If you cannot make it to the farm during that time frame, we will keep your share in our cooler for you to pick up during our current store hours. We ask that you email us in advance if you know you can’t make it on your selected day, and we will harvest your share fresh for you.
The Agreement
I want to be a shareholder in the Créme de la Crop Programs. I agree to follow the guidelines and understand circumstances (acts of nature) that the farmworkers and family farms have no control over. We will do our best to provide all the anticipated crops. Your payment is your commitment to this season's share plan, and we do not give refunds.
