Goat Walking - Fun Activity + Education
We are excited to add this Educational program to our already successful Goat Walking activity. To learn more, please read all the details below.
When do we come out to the farm for the activity? Please first select a time and day that works best for you and your family to visit the farm. Select the number of tickets you need based on the number of children attending. Typically, the event will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 pm to 2 pm. Special day and time requests will be available if there are no schedule conflicts. This will be coordinated on an individual basis via email.
Learning about Goats: A "Fun Facts About Goats" form will be emailed to all caregivers a few days before the event, which is to be reviewed with the school children in a classroom-type setting. When you arrive at the farm on your scheduled day and time, we will gather and quiz the children about what they learned from the Fun Facts form. This will take about 5-10 minutes. Afterward, we will put collars and leashes on the goats, and everyone can walk with them to experience their unique personalities firsthand. The walk usually lasts between 45 minutes to an hour.
How big of a group can attend: Twenty-four tickets is the maximum size for the event. Tickets are only purchased based on the number of children attending. Caregivers and guardians do not need to purchase a ticket. A maximum of twelve goats will be available for the group and will be shared throughout the walk. Smaller groups of 12 do not need to share a goat.
Age Limit: There is no age limit for children to sign up and attend the event. Children must be 6+ years old to hold the goat's leash during the walk.
How Many Tickets: You will need to purchase the number of tickets based on how many children are participating. Each event has a maximum of 24 children in attendance. Up to twelve goats will be shared during the walk.
Five Dollar Voucher: Each ticket is $5 per child. Guardians and caretakers do not need to purchase a ticket. However, once you arrive at our farm, you will receive a $5 Creme Cash Certificate. Your Creme Cash is valid for any in-store purchase of $25+ that you make on the day of your reservation.
Waiver Form: The updated waiver form will be available soon.
- Please bring the waiver with you on the day of your reservation. All guests must check-in at the farm store prior to start time to review the waiver and receive Creme Cash Voucher.
Inclement Weather: If it is raining the event will be canceled (goats don't like rain, snow, or ice). Automatically, the following weekday will be your alternative reservation but, it will have a new timeframe. Please see the two examples.
Example One: If it is raining on your scheduled reservation, Saturday the 7th at 1:00 pm, your new alternative booking will automatically be the following week on the 14th at 4:30 pm.
Cancelations: If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so ASAP by contacting the farm so that we can fill your spots. Cancellations must be made at least four days in advance to receive a refund. If you simply do not show up the day of your reservation no refund or option to rebook will be given.
